Audubon Center of the North Woods

The Audubon Center is located on an 800 acre section of woods, water, and fields near Sandstone, Minnesota, approximately 90 miles north of St. Paul.

All Crossroads students have two opportunities to experience a three day residential environmental education experience at the Audubon Center of the NorthWoods. Science students visit the Audubon Center in the summer in fourth grade and in the winter in sixth grade. During a Montessori students' three years in E2, they will make two visits - once in the summer and once in the winter.

4th grade Ms. Campbell,  Mr. Gregor and E2 Mr. Saathoff ... May 29-31, 2013

Fund Raising

Our goal is to make the Audubon experience affordable for all students. To reach that goal, we have several large fund-raising events, including:

Spring 2009

In early June, the classes of Ms. Haines, Ms. Hansen, and Ms. James traveled to the Audubon Center of the North Woods to spend three days of getting to know one another better while we studied new life emerging in the springtime woods.
