Welcome to our Montessori Children's House.
We are a classroom of 4 and 5 year olds.
Ideally, the children start Children's House as 4-yr.-olds and stay a second year with the same teacher.
The 5-year-olds--our all-day kindergarten students
(14-to-one teacher ratio this year)--have their "extended work time" in the morning;
our 4-yr.-olds are with us in the p.m.
These "snaps" taken throughout the year highlight the student's individual work time when they choose materials and work independently.
This October we went on a field trip to the Dodge Nature Center Apple Orchard. We got to see how apples grow and we got to see apple trees. The students were excited to taste three different types of apples and also taste fresh squeezed apple juice! We had a blast!
