I am Mrs. Velander.  I am the speech language pathologist at both Crossroads Science and Crossroads Montessori.    Below is a list of services that a speech language pathologist can provide.

Speech and Language Pathologist Services and Roles

•  Work with students who struggle to say sounds or words correctly
• Teach functional and academic vocabulary
• Help students who stutter or have a hoarse or breathy voice
• Teach strategies to improve the student's ability to understand what they hear and read
• Answer parents' and teachers' questions about speech and language development
• Help students learn to express their thoughts and knowledge clearly
• Help teach parents and teachers strategies to improve the communication of their students in their daily life
• Improve social communication skills
