I hail from the state of Kansas but have arrived in Minnesota by way of Chicago, where I met my wife.
At the University of Chicago I studied French language and literature as an undergrad and then earned an MAT through their Urban Teacher Education Program (UTEP). I subsequently taught 3rd grade at a Southside Chicago elementary school, got married, and became a joyful father.
After three years of teaching 3rd grade (and eight total years in Chicago), the snow was calling my Minnesotan wife back home. In 2010 I enrolled at St. Catherine University's Montessori program and began working here at Crossroads.
For Fun
In my spare time I primarily have fun with my son and daughter.
I also love to bake bread from home-milled flour (usually sourdough), ride my bike around Lake Phalen (when it's warm enough), and read books about theology or politics.
