Ms. Michelle Anderson

Hello and Welcome!

My name is Michelle Anderson. This is my 10th year at Crossroads! For the past 9 years, I was an E1 teacher and this year I began a new role as a Learning Lead. I support educators with instructional curriculum and practice to create positive student achievement. Prior to Crossroads, I taught 6th and 7th grade Language Arts/Reading and K-1 Reading Intervention. I graduated from Minnesota State University-Mankato with a Bachelor of Science Degree in Pre-Primary, Elementary, and Middle School Education. I went on to graduate school and received my Master’s Degree in Literacy Education from St. Mary’s University of Minnesota, along with my K-12 Reading Licensure. Keeping a growth mindset and my joy for learning, I continued my education by receiving my Montessori Certification in E1 through Midwest Montessori Teacher Training Center in Chicago, Illinois. I received my TESOL (Teaching English to Speakers of Other Languages) Certification through Grand Canyon University-Arizona in May of 2020. I am currently pursuing my Educational Leadership Specialist Degree (Ed.S.) through Concordia University in St. Paul.

In my free time I enjoy the outdoors, traveling, watching and attending sporting events, golfing, walking/hiking, random adventures, music and dancing, family and friends. I studio danced on a competitive dance line for 11 years, coached high school dance team and am a Zumba instructor.

A great year ahead!

Ms. Anderson
