Amanda Dachel
Hello! My name is Amanda Dachel and I will be your child’s teacher this year. I am excited to begin a new school year with you and your child here at Crossroads Montessori!
I received a BA in Child Psychology and an Elementary Education licensure at the University of Minnesota. I've been teaching in St. Paul Public Schools since 2011 and at Crossroads Montessori since 2015. While looking for a preschool for our oldest son, I was first introduced to Montessori. I immediately fell in love with the beautiful environment and the abilities of such young children in a classroom that encouraged independence and welcomed a wide range of learning styles. After teaching traditional kindergarten for four years, I decided to pursue Montessori training at the Midwest Montessori Teacher Training Center in Evanston, Illinois.

Favorite book: the Harry Potter series and so many picture books
Favorite food: pho, hamburgers, tacos, pizza, all desserts
Other favorite things: hiking, backpacking, yoga, reading, spending time with my family and friends
My family: My husband Chris, children: Sebastian, Arlo, Beau, and Wallace
