Crossroads Students Learn About the Heart from Science from Scientists
Science from Scientists and Crossroads Elementary students paired up to learn all about the heart. Students had a blast learning all about the heart: dissecting a sheep's heart provided a direct, tactile experience of its anatomy, allowing our students to see and feel its chambers, valves, blood vessels, and muscle tissues. This hands-on approach made it easier to understand the heart's complex structure compared to studying from pictures or diagrams. Students said, "We truly love science with all our hearts".
