Staff Profile

My name is Anni Wente and this is my fifth year at Crossroads. I was born and raised in Minnesota. I graduated from the University of Minnesota-Duluth with a degree in Elementary Education and a minor in Science. After college I began working at a private Montessori and fell in love with the philosophy. I worked at that school for four years as a teacher and 10 years as the Director. I decided to return to teaching and was welcomed at Crossroads. I also completed my Montessori Children's House certification at MMTTC in Evanston, IL. I enjoy working with my students year-round and getting to know their families over the two years that their child is in my class. It is an amazing gift to guide and observe a child as they grow and learn over two years. During this time I enjoy building a relationship not only with the child, but also with their family!

Favorite book: This is not possible, I have too many favorites! 
Favorite food: Fruit and guacamole  
Other favorite things: Reading, cooking, camping, spending time with family and friends
My family: My husband, Scott, and our children Elise and Colin
